Jasmine leads on agriculture innovation policy and natural and hybrid carbon dioxide removal solutions at a DC-based non-profit called ClearPath, where they develop and advance policies that accelerate innovations to reduce and remove global emissions. Prior to joining ClearPath, Jasmine completed her PhD at Texas A&M on bioenergy sorghum, to better understand the biochemical mechanisms of sorghum stem development under different conditions to potentially increase bioenergy yields. Jasmine was also a member of the American Society of Plant Biologists science policy committee and did a residency with the National Science Policy Network studying the water requirements of crops in the Southwestern states and what policies could support more drought tolerant crop production.
