Laura Bither
Director
Laura Bither is the Director of JustME for JustUS, where she supports young emerging leaders across rural Maine in community-centered climate advocacy. Her work shifts power to under-resourced rural areas and uses a place-based approach to build bridges across differences to ensure that all voices are represented in climate work. An intersectional climate justice activist, she is passionate about equitable and inclusive solutions across the climate movement, from community organizing to policy. Always eager to expand the depth of her experiences, she is energized by her time on the Board of Directors of Maine Conservation Voters, the Governing Circle of Tri Town Equity & Inclusion Coalition, and Core of Maine Youth for Climate Justice. Her activism is fueled by her community of organizers, thinkers, and resistors advocating for justice on a local scale and beyond. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University with High Honors in Biology and Environmental Studies and a minor in African Studies.
