Julie Margolin
Solar Development Analyst
I recently transitioned into the solar industry as a project developer with Plankton Energy. In this capacity, I manage the entire development lifecycle of multiple solar systems within our portfolio, handling tasks such as financial modeling, energy analysis, and interconnection. Prior to joining Plankton, I delved into diverse climate-related career paths, including roles in food systems, sustainable investing, and climate journalism. One notable experience was my time as a summer analyst at BloombergNEF, during which I authored a primer on California's carbon market. Opportunities like the Baruch Climate Scholars program, the Jeanette K. Watson Fellowship, and the EDICT internship program provided avenues for me to explore various aspects of the climate sector. I graduated from Macaulay Honors College and Baruch College in May of 2023. I earned a BBA in Statistics & Quantitative Modeling with minors in Business Law and Interdisciplinary New York City Studies. Proudly from Brooklyn, NY, I'm eager to learn more about promoting sustainability in my community.
