Melina Acevedo
Project Development Manager; Partnerships Llead
Melina Acevedo is a Project Development Manager at D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments, a leading Independent Power Producer, where she leads the development of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the US. Previously, she was a Sales Analyst at Nextracker, a global manufacturer of solar trackers, where she managed the contracting of utility-scale solar projects across North America. Inspired by her difficulties as an immigrant and first-generation college graduate entering the clean energy industry after graduation, Melina is an active community organizer and leader, working to create pathways for underrepresented communities into the industry. She is currently the Partnerships Lead at Latinxs in Sustainability, managing fundraising and partnerships for the non-profit, including leading their first ever workforce development program for students in partnership with The City College of New York. Melina was also previously a Board Member of Young Professionals in Energy SF Bay Area, where she created their Scholarship Program for underrepresented students seeking careers in clean energy.
